Obituary of Mary Gieni

Mary Gieni, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday April 1, 2016 at the age of 86 years old. She was predeceased by her parents William and Ethel Danylchuk; fifteen siblings, and her husband Eli (Bill) Gieni. She is survived by her son Wray (Doreen) Gieni and grandson Jesse James Jacobson of Regina; her daughter Carol (John) Carver of North Carolina, along with numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and friends. Mary was born in Endeavour SK in 1929, moved to Regina in 1946 where she met her husband Bill and they were married in 1947. Mary worked at the CPR for over 20 years before becoming a stay at home mom. She was passionate about her family, her friends and life. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and travel. Mary was known for her vast collection of tea cups that friends and family would bring to her from their travels. Her collection grew to over 1000 and she cherished every one. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Thursday April 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Janet Mitchell officiating.
