Obituary of Sharon Lynn Vella

SHARON LYNN VELLA Sharon passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 64 years of age, surrounded by loving family. Born in Yorkton, SK on April 21, 1952, she was the youngest daughter of three girls born to Arthur and Lynn Miller. Sharon grew up in Yorkton until age 12 when the family moved to Regina where she attended Lakeview and Balfour. She is survived by her loving husband Stephen of 36 years. She leaves to celebrate her life two sons, Jesse (Alana), grandchildren Everitt and Ophelia (Fefe) and Sean (Kaylen); along with sisters, Carol Melnechenko and Marilyn Clarke (Randy); nieces, nephews and special friends. Sharon was predeceased by her father in 1980 and her mother in 2013 and also by nephew, Bryan Woloschuk in 2011 and brother-in-law Melvin Melnechenko in 2013. Sharon spent her working years as a bookkeeper and was an active community member and volunteer, avid gardener and reader with a passion for dancing. Taking dance classes and eventually assisting instructing, doing dance demos and routines, was “livin’ the dream”. A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church at 190 Massey Road, Regina on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Tank officiating. Anyone so wishing may make a donation in memory of Sharon to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1901 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
