Obituary of Ellen Driver

ELLEN JEAN DRIVER (nee Brown) Ellen, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the age of 89 years after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her loving husband William (Bill) Driver and her son Allan (Al) Driver. Ellen is survived by her daughter Linda (Jack) Malagride; daughter-in-law Deana Driver; grandchildren Dave (Kelli) Driver, Lisa (Kyle) Kosolofski, Dani Driver (Stephen Folnovic), Todd Malagride, Mike Malagride, Kate Malagride; great-grandsons Cooper, Easton, and Titan Driver; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Ellen was born on May 5, 1927, in Wolseley, SK, the youngest of eight children born to John and Eliza (Merrifield) Brown. She was a proud graduate of the Regina General Hospital’s nursing program and worked for more than 30 years as a registered nurse in Regina. In 1951, she married Bill Driver and they made many long-time friends during their 56 wonderful years of marriage. Ellen was kind, gentle, generous, feisty, strong, hard-working, loving and so much more. She spent much of her life caring for everyone she met, from critically ill patients to members of her family, extended family, school and community groups. Ellen was an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and held season tickets for 52 years. Her family came first and she loved attending events that involved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ellen will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage United Church, 1050 N Arnason Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
