Obituary of Grant Ian Watson

GRANT IAN WATSON Grant passed away suddenly at his home in Regina Beach on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the age of 56 years. He is survived by his mother Ada Lou Watson; sisters Alanna (Jim) Mozel of Overland Park, KS, Karen (Ken) Wheeler; brother Graham Watson; niece Kara Wheeler (daughter Chae); nephew James Wheeler; and as well as many relatives of the Barber and Watson families. Grant was predeceased by his father Lowell Watson in 1989 and brother Mark Watson in 2011. He grew up at Shoreacres, across the lake from Regina Beach and went to school in Silton, Bulyea and Strasbourg and finished high school at Luther College in Regina. Grant studied at SIAST in Moose Jaw to become a Journeyman carpenter. He went on to become manager of the family business at the Home Hardware Building Centre in Regina Beach. Grant worked hard to take care of all his construction customers and do it yourselfers in the area. He will be missed by his close friends that shared snowmobiling in the Canadian Rockies, Yellowstone area and north Saskatchewan trails. His other getaways with friends were boating from the Regina Beach Yacht Club and winter holidays in warmer climates.
