Obituary of Dorothy Flanders Jaques

Dorothy passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2016, one month after her 102nd birthday. Left to celebrate her life are her step-children, John Jaques, Barbara Kanciruk and Doreen Augustine Bramley; daughter-in-law Jacqueline Jaques and son-in law Jim Kanciruk; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Mabel Miller; siblings Jimmie Miller, Kenneth Miller and Grace Honold and their spouses; spouse John (Jack) Jaques; son-in-law Rudolph Augustine; and great-granddaughter Shayna Augustine. Dorothy was gentle, kind, appreciative and loved old time music, keeping in touch with family and friends and following news of the royal family. In earlier years, she played piano, tatted, gardened, was a wonderful baker and an avid letter writer. Special thanks to her Granddaughter Sheila Wagner who provided years of loving care and support and to the staff at the Regina Lutheran Home, especially Sunshine Valley. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment in Lemberg Cemetery at 3:30 pm.
