Obituary of Elton Erwin Manz

Al Manz, late of Regina SK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by his parents, Leon and Martha Manz (nee Senger), Al is survived by his wife of 61 years, Clare; daughter Alanna; son Kevin ( Jessica); granddaughter Kyle ( Tommy ) Warren; sister-in-law Betty Mang; as well as nephews, Jeff (Donna), Corey (Orelia), Randy( Louise); and nieces, Dawn Menear (Craig) and Sandi Karr (Paul). Born in Southey Saskatchewan, Al moved to Regina at a very young age. He had a fulfilling 33 year career at Regina Motor Products (which turned out to be with his second great love). Dad was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, the Executive Association of Regina, The Optimist Club of Regina on the Board of Directors for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and a director on the board for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan. Al had a love for baseball, playing as a catcher for the Regina Redsox and coaching in the Regina Little League. Dad loved to curl and was a member of the Regina Curling Club for many years. Memorial Service will take place at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Rd, Regina, SK on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Tank presiding.
