Obituary of Martha Krystal

After a brief, but courageous, battle with cancer Martha passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Martha was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and grew up surrounded by an extensive and loving family. She was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Margaret MacMullin; sisters Christena and Mary (Merlie); and sister-in-law Helen. She is survived by brothers Henry (Connie), John (Valerie), Angus, Douglas, and sister Barbara. Martha found her vocation in nursing and eventually met her loving husband of 56 years, Peter. Together, with a growing family, they traveled throughout Canada as Peter was transferred within the RCAF. She leaves behind the loving family that she created over that time consisting of sons: Michael, Adrian (Joanne) and Robert (Shantell); and daughter Paula; Granddaughters Melissa (Wes), Amanda (Nolan), and Victoria; grandsons Ian, Nicholas and Sean; Great grandsons Mavrik and Carter; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Martha will remain a cherished part of all of her family’s memories. We would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at Pasqua Hospital for their care and compassion.
