Patricia Copeman

Obituary of Patricia Anne Copeman

Patricia Anne Copeman (nee Dufty) passed away peacefully at the age of 74, on Monday, July 25, 2016. Pat was predeceased by her parents Chris and Toots (nee Proud) Dufty. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Howard; daughter Donna Walter; son Darren (Kim) Walter; two grandchildren, Aaron and Bailey; brothers, John (Elaine) Dufty and David (Cathy) Dufty; as well as nieces and nephews. Pat graduated nursing school from the Regina General Hospital on August 15, 1963, and was a proud Registered Nurse for almost 45 years, wrapping up her career at Parkside Extendicare. In her retirement, Pat developed a passion for acting in training scenarios at RCMP depot, where she would ‘harass’ cadets on a regular basis to help prepare them for the real world. She always found it very amusing that such big, strong cadets could be so afraid of one little old lady. Pat was also heavily involved with the Saskatchewan Darts Association and was a dart player for more than 30 years. She held several positions in the SDA, and was the current president. She made the national dart team several times and in later years, helped coach the teams, both adult and junior leagues. She was affectionately known to everyone as mom, and to the junior league as Grandma. To honour Pat’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. A small gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
