Obituary of Allen Roy Kachmarski

Ret. SGT ALLEN ROY KACHMARSKI Allen passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the age of 72 years, after a short yet courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Aniela Kachmarski and his brother Napoleon (Nap) Kachmarski. Allen is survived by his wife Aud and two sons, Kirby and Jason; two granddaughters Brianne and Kaeleigh; sister Rita Sadlowski and sister-in-law Shirley as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Allen joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 17 and he proudly served our country for over two decades. Allen's military career took him to Germany, Vietnam, and several Canadian postings. After his retirement, Allen brought his family to Regina, Saskatchewan where he enjoyed a long career with the Workers' Compensation Board. Retirement did not sit well with Allen, and he felt the need to keep busy. His next venture put him with Legion Command, helping fellow veterans receive the benefits they were entitled to. When Allen finally retired for the third and last time, he and his wife of 52 years, Aud, found enjoyment traveling throughout Europe. They had just recently returned from a lengthy trip abroad in March, visiting Turkey.
