Hello to the Saunders family. I'knew Jim from the late 70's where I met him through a mutual friend and his neighbor Jim Faulkner. Big J as we used to call him was a few years older than us but always seemed to have the time to include us in his escapades which usually involved the odd beer and a lot of cruising in the 77 Trans Am. He was lots of fun to be with and there was never a dull moment. His obituary described him to a T.and I was very sorry to hear of his passing. Pat.

Our sympathy on the loss of your brother Jim and to his family. Although I did not know Jim your mother kept us updated on his health. I,m a classmate of your Mum,s and we had our last St Paul,s reunion July 7/8 in Saskatoon. There were 8 attended from our class first time without your Mum, Karen and we did miss her Jim reminds us of your Dad whom we knew, as well my parents were friends with your grandparents, the Saunders. I worked in Regina with the colonel for quite a few years when he was promoted to assitent superintendent there. I thought he was a fair boss to work for. I remember I was required to work at midnight one night and I had slept in, Jim was required to give us a pre depature saftey meeting before our shift that night. So when I showed up a half hour late I thought I would be in trouble but Jim just laughed and told me to relax and have a seat so I thought he was a pretty good guy after that. He will be missed.

Jim's Dad Gordon was my Dad Jim's brother and although I hadn't seen him in many years I still have fond memories of us all together as children in Calgary and Saskatoon.
