Obituary of Elsie Gerein

ELSIE GEREIN On Tuesday, August 16, 2016, surrounded by the love of her family, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Elsie Gerein (nee Klotz), passed away peacefully at the age of 96 years. Elsie is survived by her children, Ken (Brenda) Gerein of Vibank, SK, Sheila McRoberts of Edmonton, AB and Jack Gerein of Vibank, SK; grandchildren, Craig Gerein, Kyle Gerein, Christopher (Vanessa) Gerein, Kelly (Taylor) Gerein, Courtney (Phil) Mooney and Shauna McRoberts (Ryan Bright); great-grandchildren, Cole Wolbaum Gerein, Paige and Landry Gerein, Audrick Gerein, Hannah and Ashton Mooney; sisters-in-law, Florence Gerein, Delores Gerein, Pauline Gerein, Joyce Gerein and Rose Klotz; brother-in-law, Don Schoenroth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Kasper (Ginger) Gerein in 1959; parents Stefan and Solama Klotz; brothers Nick, Frank, Tom, John, Adam, Marcus and Peter; sisters Tillie, Wally and Kay. Elsie had a deep faith and believed devoutly in the power of prayer. She possessed a wonderful sense of humour, a quick wit, and a zest for life; curling, bowling, dancing and card playing being a few of her enjoyments. The biggest joy of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, Main Street, Vibank, SK on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montmartre Health Centre Trust Fund, P.O.
