WILLIAM WOLSELEY TAYLOR It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Wolseley Taylor on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at the age of 89 years. William was predeceased by Iris Delores (nee Nightingale), his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, his daughter Beryl Delores, parents Wolseley Duffin and Jean Lees (Jeannie) and his brothers Garnet and Duffin (Duff). He leaves to mourn his sister, Jeannetta (Nettie); brothers, Stanley, Lorne, Henry and Daniel (Jim); sisters-in-law, June, Barbara and Nancy; children, Kerry (Heather), Randall (Andrea), and Kevin (Sherrill) and son-in-law Rob Madden; grandchildren Chad (Bernadette), Madeleine, Simone (Jay), Josh, Christopher (Kathryn), Nigel (Erica), Jennifer (John), Paul (Maraya), Quinci, Martin and Amalja; six great-grandchildren and cherished family members, Diane Taylor-Neale, Art Neale, Rachelle Chiasson-Taylor and Chandra Logan. Bill grew up on the family farm in the Moffat district, south of Wolseley. As a young man he left the farm to earn certification as an electrician at the technical school in Saskatoon, where he met his wife Iris. Later they moved to Regina where Bill worked for the provincial government, eventually becoming the head of its electrical services. Bill was a devoted and active member of Rosemont United Church for over 50 years. He was an amateur musician and supported many charitable organizations and community youth activities. For both Bill and Iris their family was the center of their lives and their home was open to all. In lieu of flowers you are encouraged to make a donation to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
