Obituary of Erna Inga Pearson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Erna Inga Pearson, at the age of 69 years. Erna was a classy lady with a kind heart, warm smile, and amazing energy. Over the past two years she battled ALS with courage and grace. She would say that she had to live with ALS, but that ALS had to live with her too. She was determined to live her life to the fullest with her family and friends whom she loved so much. Erna was predeceased by her loving parents George and Gilfie Stangl; sister Anna Dearman; brother-in-law Carl Dearman; and sister Marlene Gartner. Erna will be forever missed by her daughter Tanya Pearson (Mathieu Ludlow); her partner of 36 years, Robert Hepting; his daughters Charlene Jackson, Michele Hepting, his son Murray Hepting (Jotika Ramkhelawan); her sister Roseline (John) Weisshaar; brother Wayne (Sharon) Stangl; and numerous loved nieces and nephews. Erna was born in Willow Bunch, SK, in 1947 and was the youngest of five children. Erna moved to Regina and had a full career with the Government of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. She was regarded highly for the excellent organization and administrative expertise she brought to her roles. Erna is remembered as a kind, thoughtful, hard working, dedicated, vibrant woman; and above all, as a mom, partner, sister, aunt, friend, and will be missed more than words can ever say. A service in remembrance and in celebration of Erna's life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, Regina, on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 1:30pm.
