Obituary of Julia "Julie" Luhning

Julie passed away with family by her side on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Mom took great pride in her family and faith and participated fully at Little Flower R.C. Church. Julie will always be remembered by her warm hugs, beautiful smile, and her sense of humour. She was predeceased by her husband Henry; and daughter-in-law Maria. Julie is survived by her children, Allan Luhning, Elsie (Robert) Desjarlais, Joyce Luhning, Myrna (Dalton) Varga, and Carol Luhning; seven grandchildren, Erinn Babich, Kara Luhning, Jason Desjarlais (Maya Kuchit), Malinda Desjarlais (Travis Stark), George Luhning, Chandra (Blair) Jackson, and Seth (Brittany) Varga; and eight great-grandchildren, Kruz, Jude, and Roman Babich, Brennan Luhning, Riley and Paige Stark, and Madisyn and Tyson Jackson. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Stone Bridge Crossing Retirement Community in Saskatoon, SK for their care of Julie. Public Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
