I know James from working at the RPL. He was always there to clean the gallery windows before an opening on a Friday night. And the long corridor to my office is slowly loosing the shine James so faithfully maintained. I'll miss him as a great coworker whom I could depend on and I'll miss his humour and whit.

To James' family and closest friends,
My sincerest condolences on your loss.
Over the years, James was one of my favorite colleagues to work with at Central, especially on the dreaded Tuesday night shifts. I remember quite vividly on one of these shifts how he broke up a physical fight between two patrons and quietly ushered one of them away to look after his wounds as the security guard and I dealt with the other patron. Since then, every time we saw each other before the Tuesday night shift would begin, he would crack the same joke that always made me smile and relieve some of the apprehension I had that night. I knew for certain that no matter what happened during the shift, James would always have my back. He will be sorely missed.

I was very sad to hear that James passed away. I knew him through working at Central Library for the last 5 years.
I will very much miss talking to James in the evenings. He always had interesting things to say. He was quite a character and truly a treasure to know!
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
