Obituary of Frances Swystun

Frances M. Swystun, of Regina, died unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on Friday September 30, 2016 in Sammamish, Washington while on vacation visiting her daughter Nikki and family. She was born on April 12, 1944 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Frances is survived by her loving husband Gordon, of 51 years; her four daughters and eleven grandchildren; Jacquie (Steve Nash) and children Zach, Sarah, Sterling, Lauren and Garrett, Nikki (Dave) Plummer and their children Eric, Andrew, Steven and Brooklyn, Susie (Chad) Taylor and their children Georgia and Harrison, and Stacey (Marcel) Mann; her siblings Helen (Bill) Patterson, Joe (Maxine) Dobbs, Lorne (Maria) Dobrowolski and Ed (Sandra) Dobrowolski;sisters-in-Law Thelma Dobrowolski and Pat Dobrowolski as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Anna Dobrowolski; her siblings Agnes Hardy, Nicholas Dobrowolski, Rose Voakes, Melvin Dobrowolski, Mary Mochoruk and Adam Dobrowolski. Our Angel on Earth is now Our Angel in Heaven. God took our Mom by her hand, he said her good works on earth shined bright and it was now time to rest as she is needed in heaven to guide many others. She touched so many lives, a giver, a servant to those around her, even those that didn’t know her. An amazing wife, mother, nanna, sister, daughter, volunteer and friend. Sadly missed, never forgotten, lessons learned, memories to cherish. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Parish, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina, SK on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Sathiadas Antony officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Memorial Fund or the Marian Centre, 1835 Halifax Street, Regina, SK, S4P 1T4.
