Obituary of Debra Lynn Polischuk

DEBRA “DEBBIE” LYNN POLISCHUK Debbie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Debbie was born on August 6, 1956 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Donald and Myrna Thibodeau. She grew up in Regina, alongside her beloved younger sister and brother, Denise and Darin. Debbie shared lots of good times with her many aunts, uncles, cousins and others from the Thibodeau and Pugsley families. She especially loved summers spent in the Regina Beach area, and at the family farm near Lestock. Debbie has three daughters, Amylee Thibodeau, Jennifer Leah Polischuk, and Kristen Michelle Polischuk. Her greatest joy was her two grandchildren, Seth Kayden Lee Polischuk and Balian Alexander Empire Pineda Polischuk. Seth and his grandma shared a special bond. They were best friends and there was nothing Debbie loved more than watching Seth grow into a kind, smart little boy. Debbie lived a life filled with joy, love, humour and adventure. She was an avid traveller who explored Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Mexico, Cuba and Jamaica. Debbie loved nature, reading, Christmas, meditation, and enjoyed a good steak and a glass of wine. She was so proud to have successfully completed a half marathon at the QCM and was training to run again. We love you and will carry you with us every day for the rest of our lives. You taught us how to live joyfully, how to love with gusto, how to make the best spaghetti, and how to appreciate every moment. Right now we’re crying, but when we think of all the wonderful times, we can’t help but smile. We know that’s what you'd want. A private memorial for family and close friends is being planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Debbie to the Chip and Dale Homes, 974 Albert St, Regina, SK S4R 2P7.
