Obituary of John Kevin Cozman

JOHN KEVIN COZMAN August 28, 1964 – November 28, 2016 John passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. John excelled at all sports but his passion was professional wrestling. He wrestled for 32 years as “The Principal” Richard Pound and was a lifetime member of the Cauliflower Alley Club. John’s proudest professional wrestling accomplishment was when he received the Men’s Retired Professional Wrestling award at the Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion in Las Vegas in June 2014. A few of John’s professional wrestling accomplishments were winning the Wild West Wrestling Heavyweight Title; Stampede Wrestling British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Title; Stampede Wrestling North American Heavyweight Title; HIW Heavyweight Title-(4 times); HIW Tag Team Title; HIW Great Plains Provincial Heavyweight Title, Gold Dragon Wrestling Heavyweight Title and being inducted into the Canadian Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. John was predeceased by his parents Bill and Loretta Cozman. He is survived by his children Nathan (Tasha), Chris (Lakin) and Cassandra and their mother Shelley Cozman; brother Jim (Tracey); sisters Merle (Bruce) and Lynda Nelson. John is also survived by his best friend Joan Kotyk and their princess Sophie. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held for friends and family at the Italian Club, 2148 Connaught Street, Regina, SK on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John to the Cauliflower Alley Club Benevolent Fund at www.caulifloweralleyclub.org.
