Obituary of Katherine Faye Obey-Cappo

KATHERINE FAYE OBEY-CAPPO FEBRUARY 16, 1981 – JANUARY 19, 2017 Surrounded by her loving husband and family, we sadly announce the passing of our beloved Lady Katherine, wife, mother, daughter, and sister, after a lengthy battle of kidney failure, which she endured right until the very end. She was predeceased by her son Lane Lee and daughter Kaylee, both in infancy; parents Kenneth Obey and Melody Toto. Katherine is survived by her childhood sweet heart, Donavin Cappo; two daughters, Rose Mary and Taysia; brothers Jessie (Wendy) and Kenny, sister Kristen Lerat and adopted sister Cheyna Peigan; grandmothers, Margaret Obey and Diane Toto; and special Kokum Isabell Pratt Jazzyl. Katherine had an enormous family of uncles, aunties, nephews, and nieces of the Obey, Toto, Pratt, and Cappo families, too many to mention. The family would like to extend their gratitude to RGH Renal Unit, Dr. Prasad, Shelley Geible, and the nursing staff on the MICU, for taking great care of Lady Katherine. A Wake will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Muscowpetung First Nation Education Centre at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
