Obituary of Lloyd Harold Sauer

LLOYD HAROLD SAUER September 27, 1939 – February 4, 2017 It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd announces his death on Saturday, February 4, 2017. He went to be with his Lord and Savior after complications following an accidental fall. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Janet (née Lang); three daughters, Joylynn (Randy) Radke, Leeanne (Les) Klarer, and Cherri (Neal) Herperger; grandchildren, Craig (Robin) Radke, Erin (Matt) Oliver, Linden and Zane Herperger, and Kyle Angielski; mother-in-law Grace; sister Doris Ingram; brothers, Eric (Gwyneth), Melroy, Ivan (Myrtle), and Dennis (Karen); brothers-in-law, Bill, Ron, Ken (Donna), and David (Iris); and sisters-in-law, Marion, Marilyn (Ray), and Kathy (Larry); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Emma; father-in-law John; sisters, Evelyn (Roy), Francis, Lorraine (Jake), Mable, and Lillian; brothers, Clarence (Lois), Milton (Erna), Clifford, and Edwin; and in-laws, Audrey and Don. Lloyd farmed on the family homestead near Southey all his life, until 2012 when he retired to the lake home at Alta Vista. Both of his homes enabled him to appreciate God's amazing natural beauty every day. From a young age, Lloyd faithfully served and led in many capacities at Southey Baptist Church. He cherished his time with family and friends, and loved to joke and tease them. Funeral Service will be held at Southey Baptist Church, 92 Assiniboia Avenue, Southey, SK on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Radke officiating. A private family visitation and burial will take place prior to the service. Donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to Southey Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
