We are all in shock hearing about Nancy's death. I am among the many lucky women who trained with Nancy and remember her for her centredness, her gentleness and her compassion. She always had a little smile and was clearly devoted to others, no matter which hat she was wearing that day. Running into her years later, yes, all she could talk about was her wonderful daughters. Love in action. There is much to admire and many good memories to share about our friend and your mother, Dori and Claire. When we choose a helping profession ( or two ) we leave a little bit of our love and ourselves in many places. She truly enriched thousands of lives and I am grateful to have known this gentle, gracious woman.

My deepest condolences to you all on the loss of your mom and grandma. I do not know Nancy, but something about the beautiful young face in the photo compelled me to read the beautifully written obituary. She sounds like an incredible woman. I want to commend you both for speaking out about her disease. Because it is a disease as horrendous as any other. Sometimes I think more so in many ways. I was truly touched by your courage in publicly acknowledging it and how beautifully you worded your message of hope and love. I hope your message reaches out like rays of sun into the darkness. Take care and thank you.

I am so saddened of the news of your mother's passing. She and I were in Nursing school together.
Although we didn't see each other very often over the last years, I remember Nancy as a lovely and thoughtful person
Please accept my deepest condolences.
Sincerly ,
Noelle

I'm so sorry, Dori and family, for the passing of your mom. She sounds like a beautiful person who left too soon, which happens far too often. I wish you strength and peace during this difficult time.

Dori and Claire,
I extend to you and your families my sincere sympathies with the passing of your beautiful Mom. She was truly an amazing lovely woman in so many ways. I will miss her dearly! I still live in Whitehorse and do not get to Regina but had in my mind once I retire this spring that I would make a trip to Saskatchewan to catch up with old friends...I feel saddened i will not see your Mom and am so sorry I didn't connect more often. I will cherish my many many fond memories of your Mom...school days at RGH and then living in Whitehorse at the same time in the early 70's.
Take good care of yourselves, sending love and hugs to you both at this difficult time,
Jan
