Obituary of Ronald Kenneth Ulrich

RONALD KENNETH ULRICH 1933 - 2017 It is with saddened, yet grateful hearts, that we announce that Ron passed away peacefully in the General Hospital on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the age of 83 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Ida (née Friedrich) Ulrich; brother Hardy (Edna); and sisters, Rita and RoseMarie (Buck) Ingleby. Ron is survived by his wife Bev; four children, Darla (Pat) Yee, Blayne (Gail), Wade (Jackie), and Janelle Ulrich; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Ron was born September 12, 1933 in Saskatoon, SK and moved to the farm at Milestone, SK in 1954. In 1965, he married Beverley Mensch and farmed in the Riceton area until he “retired” to Regina, SK in 2000. In his youth, Ron enjoyed participating in a variety of sports, and loved every aspect of farming from an early age. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ron, may be made to The Lutheran Hour, 270 Lawrence Avenue, Kitchener, ON N2M 1Y4; KidSport Regina, 1870 Lorne Street, Regina, SK S4P 2L7; or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK S4S 3Y5. Visitation will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Memorial Service will take place at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK on Monday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
