Obituary of Lawrence Edward Cavanagh

Our beloved husband and father, Larry, passed in peace on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the age of 82 years, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Larry was an avid reader, politicizer, boxing aficionado and lover of the silver screen. He knew how to get pleasure out of life's simpler things and embraced life voraciously until the very end. His warm presence, wicked sense of humour and always intriguing insights will be deeply missed by family and friends. Larry is survived by his devoted wife Carolyn; loving children Brenda, Michael (Pam), Jeff (Cynthia), Laura (Bruce) and Kevin; beloved grandchildren Paul (Bella), Summer, Elisabeth and Kyra; brothers Vernon and Brian; and his wee dog Harley. Consistent with Larry's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3. A champion is someone who gets up when he can't. (Jack Dempsey)
