Obituary of Rita Victoria Breese

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rita Breese, late of Regina, SK, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the age of 72 years. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas Breese and parents Mike and Annie Pillipow. Rita will be missed by sisters Mabel Sawchin and Irene Olynyk; brothers Gordon Pillipow and Richard (Sonia) Pillipow as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear loved ones. Rita was born along with her twin brother Richard, on May 24, 1944 in Melville, SK. She was raised in Goodeve, SK on the farm and attended Bernadine School and high school in Ituna. Rita loved poodles and the cottage. She was welcoming and warm to all whom she met. She had a generous spirit and always had a faithful companion at her side; most recently Taffy. Rita enjoyed gardening in the summer and cheering on curling matches in the winter. She faced life’s challenges with tenacity, determination and courage. Rita was always there to share a cup of coffee and good conversation. She was a kind and gentle friend to all children and she will be cherished in our hearts forever. Celebration of Life and Reception will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
