Holly Spence

Obituary of Holly Elizabeth Spence

SEPTEMBER 12, 1964 – MARCH 25, 2017 It is with profound sadness that we announce Holly’s passing. She is predeceased by her father, William; her brother, Owen; and maternal grandmother, Anne. She is survived by her husband, Tom Davidson; mother, Betty; siblings, Kim, Shannon (Dean), Graham; sister-in-law, Cathy; brothers-in-law, Billy (Disa), Jimmy (Penny); step-children, Kelly (Dustin), Holly (Keenan); grandchildren, Thomas, Candace, Gwenyth; and several nieces and nephews. Holly was born in Estevan but grew up in Regina, SK, where she met the love of her life, Tom. A true prairie girl and Rider fan at heart, she fell in love with Vancouver, BC after she accepted a career opportunity with BCLC. Holly’s affinity for travel began after her graduation from the University of Regina and during her years of internationally competitive rowing. It continued throughout her life with adventures in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. She treasured planning frequent trips, which she enjoyed with Tom, family and friends. Her curiosity of cultures sparked an interest in fine food and wine and she grew to be an excellent cook, who was not afraid to experiment and share different cuisines. She adored and focused much of her attention on her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and looked forward to following their accomplishments and adventures. Tom and her entire family greatly appreciate the impeccable care Holly received from her healthcare providers. Funeral Service will be held in Regina, SK at some future date. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice in Holly’s name. She valued environmental and social justice causes. “Holly loved and was loved. She will be greatly missed.”
