Obituary of John David Kain

JOHN “JACK” DAVID KAIN 1931 – 2017 Jack passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Regina to the late Mary and John Kain. Jack was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Francis Kain and Bernice McKechnie. He is survived by sister Evelyn Hastings of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jack is also survived by his special friends, Barry Lornson and Marie Thomas, who provided Jack with everlasting friendship and exceptional care for him in his final days. He worked for the C.P.R. for 35 years, both as a Switchman and Trainman. Jack was an avid sports fan, having played Junior Football with the Old Regina Bombers. He had season tickets with his beloved Regina Rough Riders for 45 years. Jack was fun to be around and will be missed by his many friends. At Jack’s request, no funeral service will be held.
