Dear Linda - My thoughts are with you on the loss of your Dad. He will be missed by you, Diane, David, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I met your parents over 40 years ago, just after you and I became friends. I was impressed by both your Mom and Dad. Your father was the epitome of a soldier - never a hair out of place - with a concise wit, and ability to quickly assess a situation and solve a problem. He was an interesting conversationalist with a ready laugh. I have a clear memory of him fixing a three year old Liam's tie in a proper Windsor knot before church, while Liam wiggled to get away, and of him telling Erica that she looked like a lovely young lady in her little dress. Your Dad clearly thought the world of his family.
