Obituary of Barbara Annie Close

BARBARA ANNIE CLOSE (née KLEMENT) April 27, 1917 – April 15, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice surrounded by her children. She was predeceased by her husband William Edward Close (Ted); parents Nicholas and Magdalina Klement; siblings, Mary (Karl) Jacob, Kate (Jack) Miessel, John (Mary) Klement, Joe Klement, and Willie Klement; in-laws, Violet Morris, Grace (Givens) Smith, Russell Close, Harold (Vera) Close, Mary (Finley) Beatty, Edith Ellen Close, and Mike Fox; son-in-law Albert Green; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Left to mourn are her children, Caron Green, Linda (Gerald) Herrmann, and William “Jerry” Close; grandchildren, Ken (Cynthia) Green, Les Green, Brett Musselman, and Nelson (Hilary) Herrmann; great-grandchildren, Levi Green (Darian Henzig), Lauren Dahnke, and Alexandra and William Herrmann; great-great-grandchildren, Braylee and Dieken Green; sister Lily Fox; sister-in-law Angie Klement; extended family, Allister (Eleanor) McDougall, Jason (Kim), Kaitlyn, Jessa and Kamyron McDougall, Amy, Toby and Emily Smith, Matthew (Tiffany), Wyatt and Sawyer McDougall, Elmer (Belinda) Keller, Shane (Michelle, and son Reid), Haylee and Jennifer Keller; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Longlaketon Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory, may be made to Longlaketon Ladies Aid, Box 152, Earl Grey, SK S0G 1J0 or Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Pasqua Hospital Unit 3A and to the doctors and caregivers at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice. Your wonderful care for our mother was greatly appreciated. She loved you all.
