VICTOR WILLIAM JOSEPH McDOUGALL

Victor William Joseph McDougall, of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Dawn McDougall; daughter, Leasa Gibbons (Dana); granddaughters, Hannah and Jessica; brother Donald McDougall; nieces, Lori Ann and her five sons, Bobbi (Trevor)and their three children, and Ashleigh; and nephew Daniel (Val).

Victor worked as a draftsman for Agriculture Canada (PFRA) for 29 years and was involved with the design of many dams across western Canada. Within the Rosemont/Mount Royal community, he volunteered for many years in the areas of Youth Recreation, programming and parks, working passionately to ensure that all children were able to participate.

Victor served his community further from 1994 – 2006 as a City Councillor, participated on many boards and provided leadership and support to the Regina Police Service as a member of the Board of Police Commissioners from 2001 – 2004. He enjoyed the times spent at McBride Lake fishing, enjoying a cup of coffee, and telling stories with friends and family around the campfire.  

Victor was predeceased by his mother, Germaine McDougall; twin sister, Vivian Bogdon; and sister-in-law, Rhonalda McDougall.
