Obituary of Angeliki Dionissiou

Angie passed away peacefully at home in Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the age of 95 years.  She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Pericles (Peter); parents Athanasios and Maria; brothers Vasilios and Gregorios and sister Panayota. Angie is survived by her sister Demetra Pappas who has been her lifelong best friend and housemate for the last thirteen years. Although Angie and Peter had no children of their own, they cherished over twenty nephews and nieces that loved Angie and Peter as their parents and through them they found great joy and reward.  Angie was born September 7, 1921 in Kaltezes, Greece, where she met and married her husband Pericles before immigrating to Canada in 1955. Angie and Peter then began their careers in the restaurant business that spanned over 40 years.  Peter and Angie established and operated with family and partners, Julianna Pizza and the Mediterranean Dining Room in Regina, where they had the opportunity to convert many customers into good friends. Angie was a generous and caring person that brought out the best in people; she will be missed by us all.  Prayers will be held at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Rd, Regina, SK on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
