Lorene was born in Willowbunch, SK and attended two schools, the Convent in Radville and Willowbunch School. Lorene, a beautiful young woman, while working at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina, went to a dance where she met Robert Reilander. They fell in love, married, and started their lives as turkey farmers in Balgonie, SK. Their career switched to dairy farming, where Mom’s role was that of a dedicated stay at home mom and a busy dairy farmer’s wife. Later she worked outside the home at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home in Regina as a Dietary Aid.

Mom was extremely artistic! Her passion for needle work, especially crocheting was evident in her near perfect craftsmanship. Mom loved to create, decorate, cook, and bake. She also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Mom’s faith was immense and she shared this with many, including her wonderful friends at Women’s Aglow, Al-Anon, and most of all her second family at Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly.

We will be celebrating Lorene Reilander’s Life at Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly, 3200 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, SK on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Brad and Pastor Doug officiating. Interment will be after a sit down lunch at the Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Balgonie, SK.

Our warmest thanks, love, and appreciation goes to Dr. Konstantynowicz, Dr. Lotz, the Palliative Group, Grace Hospice, and William Booth Special Care Home. We cannot say enough about the love, compassion and exceptional care she received from her inter-professional health care team, and she often said they were her family!

Major Sharon McDonough of William Booth Special Care Home, Pastor Brad of Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly and Pastor Doug of Rocanville Pentacostal Church were a huge support system throughout her health journey. Thank you from the entire family.

To her many friends who faithfully visited and prayed often, your kindness and graciousness was appreciated.

Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends wishing to make donations, in memoriam, to the Salvation Army-William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
