Jeannette was a wonderful teacher who touched the lives of so many students. My son, Grant, has always spoke of her fondly and of how she knew exactly what to say and how to reach her many varied students' needs. She's in the hearts of so many, including mine!

Jeanette had the most beautiful spirit. It was an honour to have been her co-worker and friend at Riffel High School. I am so very sorry for your loss and the loss for us all with her passing.

How well I remember Jeannette! I had many wonderful teachers, but she was special because she fostered my love of English which led to my career in communications and public relations. She also instilled a lot of confidence in me when I came to Miller; so important to a 14 year old. I can still hear her say every morning before class "Good morning you cheery people!" and see the sparkling twinkle in her eyes each and every day. In later years, my mother and I would have coffee with her at McDonald's and she was the same Jeannette - warm, caring, loving, funny, enthusiastic about life. She made the world a brighter, happier place. I was blessed to have known her and will miss her terribly. My deepest condolences to Jeannette's family and friends.

I was blessed to have Jeanette as my grade 9 English and Music teacher in 1979 - 1980. Her smile was like sunshine and her voice like spring with the promise of learning in a positive environment. I remember being impressed that her music class not only included traditional music but pop songs (Rock Lobster) and musical numbers (I don't know how to love him- Jesus Christ Superstar). She always complimented and made you feel good about yourself as an awkward 14 year old.
I remember being disappointed that I did not have her as a teacher in grades 10-12 but Jeanette was always happy to greet you in the hallways.
She was a gifted teacher and true role model in the Catholic faith. I will keep Jeanette and her family in my prayers.

I taught with Jeannette at both Miller and at O'Neill, for many years.
I don't remember her ever having a bad day; it was always sunshine, roses and rainbows.
Too few of us are blessed with the happy positive attitude she displayed.
RIP.
You will be playing the piano and conducting the chorus in heaven.

Not only was she a wonderful teacher but an all-around great lady. Years ago, when Cabbage Patch dolls were in high demand, I tried, in vain to find one for my daughter for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Jeanette showed up at our door with a Cabbage Patch doll, for which she already had an "adoption certificate". Upon opening the doll the next day, we discovered that she was appropriately named JEANETTE MARIE. Rest in peace, you lovely human.
