Obituary of Nora Kaminski

Nora passed away following a short illness, with her brother by her side on Friday, June 9, 2017 in Red Deer, Alberta. She was born on June 8, 1924, in Regina, SK to John and Amalie (Harlos) Meyer. Nora was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Arnie (Arnold) in April 1999; her parents and paternal grandparents, John and Susanna Meyer. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Vivian Meyer of Red Deer, Alberta and their children Gary (Pat) Meyer of Red Deer, Alberta, Gail (Carl) Bobbee, of Kindersley, Saskatchewan, and Bev (Greg) Gigliuk of Red Deer, Alberta; Edwin and Vivian’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Minnie Kaminski of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and other Kaminski family members; cousin Pam (Garnet) Garven, and their daughter Laurel of Regina, Saskatchewan, and the light of Nora’s life since her husband’s death, beloved and “special” Adam Faubert, foster child of Sandra Gibson of Regina, Saskatchewan. Nora was employed at International Harvester for twenty years and then worked for the Provincial Mediation Board, retiring in 1989. Graveside Service will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens, 4280 Highway Number One East, Regina, SK on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Craig Moeller officiating. Please meet outside cemetery gates. Reception will follow at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue,  Regina, SK. Flowers and Memorial Donations gratefully declined.
