Just found out today February 16, 2021 on the passing of Lynn. My condolences to you the family.
My name is Bert Poulin. I live in Windsor, Ont.
I played hockey with Lynn in St Jean, Manitoba when we won the championship coached by Roger Vermette in the 60's.
I also played football with Lynn when we also won the championship.
Lynn was an exceptional athlete & very quiet & intelligent. He was a very good friend.
I always had him in my thoughts for all these years. Today, I thought I would check on his whereabout.
I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing in 2017.

Shirley and family,
It is with shock and sadness that I learned of Lynn's passing. We had many years together in Driver Training and playing hockey. Lots of good memories of time shared together, fun trips and a great co-worker.

To the entire Dionne and Kirby family. It is hard to find the words to express how saddened we were to hear about Lynn's passing. He was far too young. He was such an amazing cousin, Dad, Grandpa, friend and husband to his beloved Shirley. Lynn - you will be greatly missed. We extend our condolences to the entire family and know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our sincere condolences to Lynn's family, my old "Depot" Staffing carpooling buddy has left us too soon. I'm sure Lynn will be coaching an RCMP Vets hockey team up there in between his rounds of golf.

To the Dionne Family: As a Minnesota cousin, I visited Mousse and wife Rollie (Bouchard) Dionne in Emerson and in later years attended a few Family Baseball reunions in Letellier where Dionne family members would visit during the softball games. Rollie was a good hostess and I was able to meet my other Canadian cousins: Gerald Dionne and wife Susan, sister Annette and a few times would meet brother Lynn and partner Shirley, and also meet the Jutras cousins. Lynn, Gerald, Annette had many Dionne Aunt and Uncles and cousins. Rollie said I could choose to play on any one of the three different family teams: Dionne, Bouchard, Jutras teams. I decided to be a spectator only. My grandmother was a Dionne who married a LaPorte. My father, Sherman LaPorte and wife, Mae, spent time with Mousse during his hockey years. I last saw Lynn with Shirley when I attended Mousse's funeral, his sister Helene's funeral, and again at his mother's (Rollie) funeral, and again at his brother Gerald Dionne's funeral. The Dionne's were wonderfully kind people who easily and graciously extended hospitality whatever the occasion would be. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I miss my Canadian relatives and I also share your loss.

To Shirley and the family, I am so sorry and stunned by the sudden passing of Lynn. I spoke to him 10 days ago and he reserved his room at the Roy Hyatt for a weekend in July. So quick,so unpredictable we lose a close friend, former neighbour and dedicated competitor in golf and hockey. His smile and joie de vivre will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace dear Friend.
