Joan Zora

Obituary of Joan Zora

It is with sadness we announce Joan “Nan” Zora passed away peacefully with her family by her side June 26, 2017 at the age of 73 years.  She was predeceased by her parents Wesley and Mary March; parents-in-law Dan and Allie Zora; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Madeleine March; and son Dan Zora.  Joan is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Jim Zora; daughter and son-in-law Caron Zora Hertzog and Robb Hertzog, daughter-in-law Valerie Zora; and grandchildren Zachary and Robin Hertzog, Haley and Brittany Zora; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Joan was born and raised in Regina.  She attended Herchmer Elementary School and Scott Collegiate and then business college.  She worked at the office of Dr. Alport until becoming a full-time mom and farm wife, and loving care giver to all around her.  Nan was a selfless soul who always put others needs ahead of her own.  She created a loving farm home for not only her family, but all extended family and friends alike.  Whether it be a family supper in the field, a truckload of extra supper guests, or a birthday cake for a 100-year-old tractor, Nan was always at the ready. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Joan’s life will take place at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK, on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Hendricksen officiating.  Friends so wishing may make donations to the Ladies of Harley 14th Annual Breast Screening Ride at donate.saskcancer.ca (and chose Ladies of Harley to donate).
