Obituary of Donovan Edward Fetter

Donovan, late of Buena Vista, SK, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the age of 80 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Margaret Fetter; brothers-in-law, Robert Timmerman and Ken Lissel; and daughter-in-law Teresa Fetter. Donovan is survived by his wife Theresa Fetter; sons, Kelly (Wynne) Fetter, Tracey (Erin) Fetter, and Leslie (Dawn) Fetter; daughter Loralie (Michael) Hoffort; grandchildren, Kendal Fetter, Chelsea Fetter, Cameron (Shoniece) Fetter, Katie Ann Fetter, Codie Fetter, Corbin Fetter, Ashley (Brad) Jamison, Jordin (Shawn) Wilyman, and Cole (April) Hoffort; great-grandchildren, Naya Fetter and Quinton Jamison; siblings, Alvina (Raymond) Ehlert, Armond (Marion) Fetter, Shirley Timmerman, Marcia Lissel, and  Gladys (Harold) Knippleberg. Donovan farmed in the RM of LeRoy, SK. He was a member of council for the RM and served as Reeve for a number of years. Donovan also served as the chair of the Humboldt Regional Health District until his retirement. He loved playing music especially in his family band. Donovan was hard working and loved his grandchildren dearly. He will be truly missed. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 118 Nicoll Avenue, Regina Beach, SK, on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to be held in Leroy, SK Cemetery on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made in memory of Donovan to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Saskatchewan Branch, 1 – 2217 Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 9Z9.
