Obituary of John Turluk

On Tuesday, July 11, 2017, John, late of Zehner, SK. passed away at the age of 89 years. He was predeceased by his parents Konstantin and Anna Turluk; his wife Freda Turluk; one son Bradley Turluk; and siblings Sophie Sorowski and William (Bill) Turluk. John is survived by his children, Dennis Turluk, and Shawna Turluk (Len Regier and son Cole Regier); one grandchild Megan Turluk, all from Regina, SK; sister Victoria (Vicki) and husband Alex Fleming of Regina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was born at the family farm near Zehner, SK in 1928. He married Freda in 1959 and together they ran the farm and raised their children. John’s passion and life’s work was farming where he pursued raising animals and growing crops. He was blessed with a strong work ethic and a steadfast determination that enabled him to pursue these endeavors throughout his entire life. Even on his final day he was busy with farm work. John enjoyed socializing and he always appreciated and welcomed the company of family, friends and neighbors alike. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina, SK on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Darlene Harrison officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends so wishing may make memorial donations in John’s name to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
