Obituary of Tamla Thu

Tamla Thu, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the 58 years of age.  He was predeceased by parents Lay Kay and Pree Tay; as well as three siblings.  Tamla is loved and will be missed by his wife Lue Ker; children, Tina Paw (Htee Hset), Juna Paw (Hay Tha), Ti Moo, Marry Htoo, Jolly Gust, Moo Yae Htoo, and Richard Thu; four grandchildren; his twin brother Tamla Wah; as well as two other siblings. He will also be missed by many other relatives and friends. Tamla was born in Si Keh Der, Burma and lived there until 1982, when he was forced, due to the war, to flee to a refugee camp in Thailand. In 2009, he and his family came to Canada and settled in Regina, where he was employed at Crown Shred and Recycling until his passing.  Tamla loved his family so very much and was a caring, godly man. He enjoyed cooking for his family, loved to go fishing, and being out in nature. Tamla had a deep affection for his grandchildren, taking care of them whenever he could. He was a wonderful singer and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 2241 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

Tamla Thu will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
