Obituary of Doreen Ann Yuzzicappi

DOREEN A. YUZZICAPPI

(née Goodwill)

December 5, 1946 - September 1, 2017

We announce the celebration of eternal life for our Mother, Sister, Auntie, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Cousin, and Friend, late of Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation, who passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2017. Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Emma Goodwill; brothers, Norman Goodwill and Mike Rockthunder; sisters, Joyce Nahnepowisk and Caroline Thompson. She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Erick), Heather (Paul), Angela, and Crystal (Vern); only son Clinton; grandchildren, Kimberly (Herman), Faith (JR), Blair (Katelyn), Steven, Brandon, Tyler, Chenoa, Ethan, Darren, C.J., Lacey, Mitchell (Germaine), Paul, Avery (Setiva), Emma, Riley, Shawn, and Tanis; great-grandchildren,  Caden, Erika, Meivah, Alvera, Paige, Alayna, Tyler Jr, Kaylee, Keagan, Kaleb, Jayvin, Drayson, Paisley, Isabelle, Sincere, Calleigh, Katelyn, and Hudson; brother Roy Goodwill (Donna); sister Shirley Carrier (Lawrence); and sister-in-law Doris Rockthunder; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom worked at Lakeview Lodge since opening day. She loved doing her job with compassion and dedication for the people she cared for. Mom enjoyed traveling, concerts, shopping, bingo, socializing with friends, and having lunch with her kids. She lived her life to the fullest, embracing others with her warm and caring spirit; always full of humour and leaving others with a smile. 

A special thanks to Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation Chief and council. The family would also like to thank the doctors and staff at Regina General Hospital unit 6F for their wonderful care and support. 

Visitation and short prayer service will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina SK on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Edmund Jordan officiating. It was Doreen's wish to be cremated, therefore, a celebration of Doreen's life will be held at the Standing Buffalo School Gymnasium on Saturday, September 9, 2017 commencing at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Edmund Jordan officiating.
