Obituary of Adam Glen Maier

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Adam on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Inuvik, NT. Adam was predeceased by his grandfathers Peter Maier and Murray Hunchuk. He is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate Jennifer (nee Marchant) and his adored children Ryan and Ava; parents Glen and Gaye Maier; brother Peter (Hilary) and their children Owen and Addison; brother Matthew (Chelsey); grandmothers Verna Maier and Katherine Hunchuk; special cousin Joshua Sherris and his best friend of over 30 years Brad Bogdane. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Jamie and Keith Schiissler; brother-in-law Randy (Kristin) Marchant and their children Charlie and Annika; sister-in-law Amanda (Lanny) Hubbard and their children James and Hailey; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Adam was born and raised in Regina graduating from Winston Knoll Collegiate.  At the age of 22 he moved to Inuvik, NT. to pursue his dream of becoming a chef with Jennifer at his side.  After receiving his Red Seal from SAIT, he returned to Inuvik and proceeded to own and operate two successful restaurants and a catering business. A Celebration of Adam’s Life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK, on Sunday September 17, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Please wear your favorite Band shirt or Rider gear. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for a memorial trust fund for Ryan and Ava at any CIBC branch.
