She was everyone’s favourite Kokum and loved caring for the children in her family, she was nurturing and soft spoken. Dory had an infectious laugh and radiant smile, she was always laughing, being cheeky and teasing. She loved to visit, especially on the phone with Janice and Lana. Dory spent a lot of time with her daughter Prairie and her children. They would travel, go to the movies in the park and share the holidays together. She shared a special bond with each of her grandchildren especially Mikey. Whenever she was around, she was all he wanted. Mikey would sleep with her and wait on her hand and foot, they loved to drink Coca-Cola and eat mars and Reese’s cups together while watching movies and cuddling.

Dory and her oldest granddaughter would share clothes and Dory would tell her "we will share this” with a smile when she found something of Abby’s she especially liked. Gabe was very protective of his Kokum and loved to cuddle with her and never let her overwork herself.
