Obituary of Selma Schemmer

SELMA SCHEMMER

On Saturday, September 30, 2017, Selma Schemmer, our beloved mother and Oma was called home at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband George; parents, John and Emma Schmidt; brothers, Edward and Adolph; sisters, Emily, Wanda, and Toni; and son-in-law Butch (Murray) Goodman. Selma is survived by her children, Kurt (Corrine) and their children, Kevin and Stacey (Ian), Helmut, Ilse and her children, Andrew and Megan (Ben), and Delores and her children, Travis (Michelle), Tamara (Dan), and Keelan (Adrienne); three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Cohen, and Ari; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Germany. Mom’s greatest passion was her family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favourite pastimes included baking, reading, sewing, and caring for her flowers and plants. Celebration of Life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Cherished Hearts Care Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1 would be much appreciated by the family.
