Laykelyn Victoria Brown, Born May1 2020. Sharing your middle name. Taking it forward, it was my way of taking a part of you with me. Although you never got to meet, and I'll will never feel right with that. This is where you would probably say " thats alright I suppose bud" and go on with something positive to follow regarding it. Its still not easy, so many times in a week I have emails to send you, things to show you, share with you and would love your opinion on. It still hasnt really caught up to me that I can't just do that anymore. its hard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xu6iS25QXI I miss you.

I sti and stare at your photo on a monitor in the middle of 5 other screens. A wall of displays, mixed with wiring, lighting, speakers and a dozen other things plugged in. A world of over complicated electronic stuff. A world I would not know without you. Days go by, and as my heart continues to beat, my life has continued on. Sadly without you. And at times among things I do I find myself using the saying " my Grampa would have loved this! ", or I need to know something and I pick up the phone, then put it down. As I have no one to call, Not even a number remains now. I can't just show up out there, as your place is no longer your place. I struggle with what to do. But I get by on the courage, education, and the "give-it-a-go" you provided me with. Albeit, sometimes the order changes. As sometimes after a bandaid or a replacement of an electrically melted tool occurs. A re-evaluation is required. Did you know you can weld with golf cart batteries? Yes we did, we both did. Yet 5 min later after that conversation we both managed to forget that and make one hell of a light show while running wiring for the new lights that we were installing in the new cart. Shockingly once the smoke cleared and with memory in hand all of a sudden, we shared a massive ooops laugh. That mistake was not made again.
But its these memories that keep me going. Dangerous and funny, we learned together. I wouldn't want it any other way. Death being inevitable, and resistance futile. I knew this day would come sometime, because I knew exactly how hard it was going to be. But it didn't make it any easier. The kids miss you, I miss you.

Sorry for your loss! I met Russ at GHSC in 1995 and we became friends after that. I introduced Russ to his first computer that I had got for him from where I was working. From there, his interest in the computer and how it worked took off! Building his own, then running the lights of his trailer from his computer. Even though I moved away first to Edmonton, then back to Ontario, Russ was always ready to listen and talked to me over the telephone. We had some great chats and I will miss them. Russ always was willing to help anyone who needed it around GHSC. Rest in Peace Russ!

We will always remember "Russ". He is one of the few early members of GHSC, and probably the was the main physical builder of the club. He knew where everything was and what had to be done. He was our "go to" guy to find out what needed to be dpne or where help was needed. He was always our main contact with the club, and we shared many phone calls and emails in the most recent years. We will miss you Russ.
Condolences to the family.

I met Russ just over 8 years ago. He was a quiet man of deep thought. He was a "jack of all trades". Always willing to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed at Green Haven. Loved having him as a neighbor. My condolences to the family.

Russ was my brother from another mother. He always had a smile on his face and everyone was welcome in his home. Brianna and Adam called him Uncle Russ and he was known as this by many kids. I personally will miss our talks, and friendship.Rest in peace.
