I was very sad to hear of Ted's passing, I absolutely adored him. Ted was such a great guy, always smiling and ready to share a funny story. His eyes lit up when talking about his family and his business and I always enjoyed talking to him.

Dearest Suzanne,
The passing of Ted was a shock to us. I’d been seeing Ted walking Zack while I walked Candie at Eagle Creek, never realized he was fighting a tough battle with cancer or knowing what you were going through.
Our deepest sympathy and love ❤️ to you.
May God bless you and your family and bring you His peace.

Chère Suzanne et famille,
I am deeply and totally saddened at the loss of your beloved and my dear friend Ted. I first met Ted in 1996 when he headed the search committee for the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association who, at that time, was looking for the association's next President & CEO. From my very first meeting with Ted, I came away realizing that he was not only an intelligent and savvy businessman but more importantly, a man of honor and integrity. The next 20 plus years further solidified these traits for me, as I concluded that you could always depend on and trust Ted. A handshake was all you needed and you could ''take that to the bank''.
Over the years, my respect for Ted grew into friendship and a genuine love for this ''one-of-a-kind'' man. His love for his family and friends was always apparent as he spoke of them with pride and an always present twinkle in his eye. His passion for the automobile industry was obvious as he insisted in giving back to an industry that had given him and his family so much. Ted's selfless generosity was a trademark that distinguished him from so many others. As a result, his legacy will live on for so many to appreciate.
I feel privileged to have attended his celebration of life on October 17th. His zest for life, family and friends came through loud and clear at the event. It was done with class, dignity and enormous respect for this champion of everything he took on. As a family you deserve to be commended for giving Ted the ''farewell party'' that he would have wanted. You did good!
May God bless you Suzanne, Kevin, Kyle and Tracey and your respective families. You are now charged with carrying on the tradition and legacy of this tireless champion of life.
Most sincerely,
Richard (Rick) Gauthier

Whenever I heard anyone remarking about him, it was positive, and respectful.
He will be sorely missed by family and the many friends he made over his years with us.
Blessings to the family during this time of grief.

Ted had a few years on me , but always treated me like a good friend . We were not often together but cherished our relationship and always stayed in touch . Ted warned me this day was near - and darn it , he was right again . So sorry we can't get to Regina by tomorrow for the memorial service .

With deep sadness I pass on mine and my families condolences to the whole Knight family for their loss.
I have many fond memories of Ted having known him since childhood, whenever I was able to tag along with my dad to the dealership he would greet us and always made time to address me and speak with me personally, that made a big impact on me as a child and cemented my high opinion of him as a youth and adult.
On one of these same trips into work with dad (now in my 30’s) I was greeted with the warmest of smiles and that solid handshake, I was able to chat with him again this time telling him of my future, a major life change and moving to New Jersey to marry my then fiancé. Without skipping a beat he asked if I needed a job opportunity and immediately set me up with a large company down south.
He single handedly gave me peace of mind about how I would provide for my family at a time where I had endless uncertainty about how I was going to accomplish that.
He gave me my first business opportunity in the USA and my family and I are endlessly grateful.
He will always be remembered fondly in our home!

Our condolences to the Knight family.
I met Ted in 83, when I started working at Crestview as a salesman. We shared a love of cars and soon discovered we also shared a birthday, although he arrived a little earlier to the world than I did. I have many great memories golfing together and sharing a birthday drink. His door was open when I needed advise and was always willing to share his knowledge of life. I will dearly miss our conversations during his regular dealership check in visits the last few years, his stories and humor were the best part of the day. Ted was a force to be reckoned with in business and a kind generous friend to have in your corner.
My wife and I were honoured to attend his birthday soirée this past August. He was my mentor, my friend and he will be sincerely missed.
Rest in peace Mr. Knight

Ted and Suzanne were the most welcoming of any couple in our Dodge 1 Twenty Group. We were new and they took us under their wing. making us feel welcome and invited. And no surprise, we had a tremendous amount of fun.
Ted was a mentor to me. He took a personal interest in my gaining knowledge and understanding of what makes a successful dealer, a successful leader. He once took the time to fly from Naples to Columbia in a very small plane to visit and evaluate our dealership. I will never forget him telling me, "JT, get out of this office and be with your people" I hear his voice today.
Ted was a personal hero to me. I have marveled and am in awe of how he fought the battle as long as he did. He was always upbeat and always looking to a brighter future. I will always remember that.
Ted and Suzi, Mary and I love you. We are so grateful that you are in our loves.
