To Irene and family. I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Alex. David regarded Alex as his best friend. We have one of his pictures and a carving that I proudly display. Alex was a dear and trusted friend to David. David has been gone 5 years now and I miss him like it was yesterday. God be with all of you. Joanne Green

It is with great sadness that we read today of Alex's passing. Alex and I became good friends as we travelled together to our wood carver's meetings etc. He will be missed but we have had the pleasure of getting to know him and Irene. Our condolences go out to Irene and the rest of the family members. He often talked about Irene and his entire family of which he was so proud. May he rest in peace.

Our condolences to the family of Alex Tivas, especially Irene and Chris. It was very sad to read of Alex' passing. The Friday painting group will miss him dearly. We have so enjoyed his skills and humour. I found him to be an excellent friend and mentor. Sincerely, Jim.

I had the privilege of sharing and working with Alex during his mining career. I also shared good times with this fine gentleman on the trap shooting course. His kind and helpful manner to all who gained the privilege of his company and companionship was greatly appreciated. "Gluck Auf" my friend.

We are saddened to hear of Alex passing. Alex and my father in law, Vern Demmans were hunting and fishing buddies for many years. My boys and I fondly remember fishing trips with Alex and Vern to the EB Campbell dam site in Northern Saskatchewan, as well as the many hunting trips that Alex and Vern took the boys on. Sleeping in Verns old tent trailer, canoeing on the Sask river, cooking over an open fire, telling hunting and fishing stories made for great memories. Our deepest condolences to Roy and your family.
