Obituary of William Ochitwa
WILLIAM OCHITWA
Bill, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary Ochitwa; and brothers, Metro, Arthur, and Ernie. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley Ochitwa; daughter Brenda England of Saskatoon; son Kim (Linda) Ochitwa of Weyburn; three grandchildren, Christopher (Nevada) McKenzie, Lorranda (Alan) Smelt, and Tara (Sean) Bateson; six great-grandchildren, Gemma, Guinness, Carter, Ayla, Ainsley, and Aubrey; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Bill was born on October 9, 1935 in Danbury, SK. He was the third born son of seven boys to Peter and Mary Ochitwa. Bill’s education started at Glen Elder School. He spent thirty years working at Ipsco and shortly after, worked for Good Country Coffee. Bill had many interests and hobbies, he loved camping, fishing, travelling, and gardening. He was also quite the handyman. Thank you to the staff at Sunset Extendicare for their care during Bill’s six months stay. Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. All those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery gate.
