Obituary of William Arthur Pratt

William Arthur Pratt, late of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the age of 72 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Marie Theresa Pratt (née Carrier) on February 17, 2017; parents, William Hector Pratt Sr. and Rose (Nabis); step-mother Marion Isabel Pratt; sisters, Doreen, Vivian, and Sara; father-in-law Clifford Carrier; mother-in-law Marjorie Carrier (née Nahnepowisk); and brother-in-law Gerald Carrier. William is survived by his two sons, Jason (Brenna) and Trent; grandchildren, Cherise (Jesse), Justice, and Shanille; his precious great-grandchildren, Jace William, Jaxon Elias Lutcher, and Oakley Brielle Jones; brothers, Charles (Yvonne), James (Delores), Keith (Lisa), David, and Thomas (Norinne); sisters, Joan, May (Mike), Liz, Loretta (Bruce), Marla (Marc), and Joanne (Bernard); sisters-in-law, Shirley (Lawrence) and Christine; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Genievieve), Glen (Dolores), Conrad Cappo, and Robert Anaquad; and special Goddaughter Rae-Lynn. William was a retired truck driver after 26 years at WF Botkin Construction. He also farmed for many years. William had a special love of fixing farm machinery, trucks, and cars. His family looked to him for diagnosing what was wrong with their own cars and trucks. William loved the time he spent with family, especially the little ones who lovingly called him Mushum. In the last years of his retirement, he and Terry loved to attend Bingo and they had many friends. He also made friends and had such a great sense of humour that everyone loved. William spent time driving students from Piapot and always encouraged the students to get their education. Those were happy times for him. William leaves a huge void in our families, but we are also blessed to know he is with the love of his life and with the Lord in Heaven. The family would like to thank Dr. Hugo, Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, Dr. W.F. Wigmore, doctors, and nurses that helped us so much that day. Special thanks to Moose Jaw Home Care, Speers Funeral Chapel, and to family and friends who offered prayers and condolences. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bernard (Hoss) Jack and Elder Harry Francis officiating. Interment will be held in Piapot Desjarlais Cemetery.
