Obituary of Voula Giannoulis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Voula Giannoulis, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, in Regina, SK on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Kastri, Greece to parents Demetrios and Aggeliki Sirounis. Voula came to Canada as a young woman, seeking a better life. She was predeceased by her husband Jim; son Leo; sisters, Georgia (John) and Panagiota; and brother Andrew (Evaggelia). Voula is survived by her son Andrew; daughter-in-law Bonnie; grandchildren, Stephanie, Eleni, and Dimitri; brothers, John (Anne) Sirounis and Perry (Maria) Sirounis; brother-in-law George Nikolaou; as well as many nieces and nephews. Voula will always be remembered for the love she had for her family, her strong faith, and unwavering devotion to God. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road, Regina, SK on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Voula may be made to St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church.
