Obituary of Frank Harold Bernier

1936-2017

Frank Bernier, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with his family by his side at the age of 81 years.  Frank is survived by his wife, Joan, of 62 years; son Wayne (Ginny) Bernier of Kelowna; daughters Barb (Jerry) Zarkow of Regina, Bev Bernier of Regina and Donna (Bruce) Friesen of North Battleford; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;  brother Don (Betty Lou) McIntosh, brother John (Elaine) McIntosh, sister Myrna (Rick) Davis, brother Larry McIntosh;  as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private family memorial service held in Regina on December 1, 2017. Frank retired in 1993 after working for Armtec for 40 years and will always be remembered as an avid outdoorsman spending much of his time in the north fishing and camping with family and friends.  He loved spending time golfing in the summer and curling in the winter.  Frank was known to spend many hours every day tending to their yard and garden and enjoyed countless hours tinkering in his garage at home.  He will be dearly missed by his family as well as those who got to know him well, including the staff and residents at Santa Maria.  The family would like to thank the nurses, caregivers, and all staff at Santa Maria for their care and compassion during his stay and upon his passing.
