SHIRLEY VENSLAND

Shirley, late of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased in 2008, by her husband, Peter; her parents, Henry and Annie Kaltenbruner; brothers, Wes (Amy) and Ken (Mary); sisters, Irene, Ethyle (Don) Elder, and Janette (Ron) Robinson. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Diane (Doug) Rhodes of Moose Jaw and Linda Vensland of Kelowna; grandchildren, Peter (Cecette) Rhodes, Nathan (Chelsea) Rhodes, and Vanessa (Jason) Bergeron; four greatgrandchildren, Hannah, Maisey, Gavin, and Simi, and a fifth grandchild on the way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was born in her family home at 1046 Clifton Avenue in Moose Jaw and later moved with her family to the farm at Drinkwater. She completed grade 12 in Regina and then worked at Markham Florist for 11 years. While working at SaskPower Corp., she met her husband of 50 years, Peter. The family wishes to thank the staff at Broadway Terrace in Regina, Prairie Villa in Assiniboia, and Providence Place in Moose Jaw, for their loving care. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
